Healthy and Delicious Holiday Lunches
Did you overdo it a bit on the mashed potatoes or the stuffing at Thanksgiving dinner? Maybe the pumpkin pie or the sweet potato casserole is more your thing. It doesn’t matter which is your favorite. We all know that Thanksgiving is the gateway to holiday eating. Christmas parties and cookies are right around the corner if they haven’t already started.
If you are feeling as stuffed as your Thanksgiving turkey, come on by for a Godzilla sandwich (for those of you who aren’t ready to completely give up carbs) or a Godzilla salad for lunch. We use high quality yellow fin tuna, no canned stuff here. We sear it with a sesame seed coating in house. The salad has cabbage slaw and seaweed salad and some crispy onions for crunch. It is dressed with wasabi aioli and citrus ponzu. For those of you counting Weight Watcher points on the green plan(the strictest of the new plans), the tuna, cabbage slaw, and seaweed salad are all 1 point. This leaves you plenty of room for the crispy onions (3points) and the sriracha aioli or wasabi dressing, each 2 points or if you are really being strict the citrus ponzu is 0 points. Really want it served on our delicious brioche bread? You will need to pony up 10 points but it is certainly worth it. Especially if you didn’t make it is for our French Toast. It is the holidays after all!
